The film Warrior Lanling was first shown in various international film festivals in 1995 and it's finally available on DVD! A spectacular epic film set in China's distant past and actually filmed in a remote area of Yunnan Province, Warrior Lanling imagines a primitive Chinese culture, through which a yearn for restoration of cultural heritage is seen. Director Sherwood Xuehua Hu studied film in the states and obtained his doctoral degree there. Cinematographer Gu Changwei later became an award-winning director for Peacock.
