DOC is an intern Invited by the Unitd Nations' Children Fund, DOC and his fellow interns visit a deserted area in Sichuan to run physicals for poor children deprived of the privilege of going to school. DOC meets LU, a teacher in Sichuan. Although, DOC and Lu belong to two different worlds, she firmly believes that DOC is her hero. She will be content if her hero would just listen to her. Shockingly, LU knows that her hero is diagnosed with blood cancer and he starts to prepare for his death. Upon knowing that he is dying, Lu tries her best to take care of him. Magically, the two have cultivated special feelings toward each other. LU cannot help falling hopelessly in love with this dying hero of hers.
