The year is 2017, romance is a thing of the past having been replaced by robotic playmates. When Sam Treadwell's (David Andrews) Cherry 2000 Robot short circuits, he enlists the help of E. Johnson(Melanie Griffith), a woman tracker, to help him find the scarce parts to resurrect her. Ultimately, he's forced choose between the mechanical pleasures of his computerized concubine and a riskier relationship with a flesh-and-blood human being.
