Taraj Hansen played Ann Atwater, a civil rights activist in Durham, North Carolina, and fought for 10 years with C.P. Ellis, the leader of the KK party, until 1971, when they agreed to co-chair a two-week community meeting in response to a court-ordered school abolition of apartheid. The meeting changed their lives.
