The Boy Being Eliminated tells a story of courage and joy. The protagonist is Sheila (Luke Kasher), the son of a Baptist pastor in a small American town. He must defeat the parents (Russell Gower and Nicole Kidman) and confess that they are homosexual. His parents struggled to strike a balance between their love for their son and their faith. Shera was forced to participate in a homosexual conversion treatment because she was worried that her family, friends and community groups would alienate herself. During the treatment period, Sheila collided with the person in charge of the treatment (Zu Egton) and began a journey of finding her own voice and accepting the true self.
