Synopsis: orth of the Bird's Nest in Beijing is Dong Xiao Kou, a place where 30 thousand Henan residents migrated to. They scavenge for worn-out recyclables in this city to procure wealth, finding a place to rest in between the urban and rural. Family, village, migration surrounds Beijing. In prose, the film documents the modern urbanization in China, the leaving of farmers from their rural land, and the difference between the lives of urbanized cities and those of rural villages.
