It is the best show from Song Zu Ying and after conquering the Sydney Opera House and the Musikverein in Vienna, Grammy-nominated Chinese folk singer Song Zuying took her celebrated voice Stateside when she held a solo concert at the John F. Kennedy Center For The Performing Arts in Washington D.C. on October 12, 2006. More than just a simple music concert, Song Zuying's American performance was deemed as much a diplomatic event as it was a cultural exchange. But the show's political significance takes nothing away from the fact that Song is a superb vocalist and performer. She sang 18 traditional and modern Chinese folk songs from her repertoire, with the symphonic accompaniment by the National Symphony Orchestra and the Washington Chorus conducted by world-renowned maestro Tang Muhai.
